RINGWAYS INFRASTRUCTURE
We are pleased to announce that Ringway Infrastructure (www.ringway.co.uk) are now using ACM Manager to help them to manage
their asbestos containing materials (ACMs). They have compiled a
database of ACMs in various regional sites around the country and it is
essential that this information is quickly and easily available as
required. ACM Manager has made this process quick, secure and
efficient.
ASQUITH NURSERIES
Established in 1989, Asquith Day Nurseries is a leading independent provider of
nursery childcare and creche facilities throughout the UK. Today, the company operates
from 113 locations across the country, and continues to expand in response to the
demands of a rapidly growing market.
Asquith have established a set of asbestos data by carrying out asbestos surveys
at applicable buildings . They needed to store this data in a central location accessible
to all of their nursery managers. They also needed to be able to update this information
from the head office and be secure in the knowledge that the updated data was immediately
available at their network of premises. Internet based ACM Manager was the perfect
tool for achieving their objectives and after a successful trial the system was
rolled out to all of their nurseries.
INSURANCE GIANT REDUCES ITS RISKS
One of the world leaders in risk management and insurance has recently come onboard
addings its significant property portfolio to the ACM Manager database. All of their
sites have just come up for reinspection and they wanted to ensure that the latest
information was available to their staff and operatives in a recognised document
format. The system will also make the management of their hazard far easier. They
were particularly pleased with the activity log which enables them to see exactly
who is and isn't looking at the asbestos register before working around ACMS.

SURVEYING ORGANISATION USES ACM MANAGER TO SECURE COMPANIES HOUSE CONTRACT
AMS Management (GB) LLP have recently won a Companies House tender to carry out
asbestos surveys at their Cardiff head office. ACM Manager was included as part
of their tender offering and was a major factor in securing the contract.
Companies House needed a software tool that would make the results
of past and future asbestos surveys and re-inspections easily available to
their staff and operatives. They also wanted to be able to update these results
as required and keep an audit trail of the changes applied. ACM Manager offers
these features as well as many others.
ACM Manager will replace the existing server based system making the data more
readily available.

PROPERTY SURVEYORS USE ACM MANAGER TO CENTRALLY MANAGE ASBESTOS DATA
London surveying company Reeks Sinclair and their sister company Reeks Sinclair
FM assist their clients in managing their large portfolios of properties.
Having recently carried out a number of asbestos surveys they were looking for
a sofware tool that would enable them to keep the data up-to-date while at the
same time making their registers available to their customers. As the data
administrators they didn't want to set up a number of distinct systems with a
multitude of passwords to remember.
ACM Manager allowed Reeks Sinclair to access all of their clients' data through
a single login making the task of maintaining all of their registers much
simpler. And because the system is web-based the data is accessible by
both their customers and their customers' contractors.

MAIDSTONE BOROUGH COUNCIL SUCCESSFULLY TRIAL ACM MANAGER
Maidstone Borough Council manage a large portfolio of civic buildings
in West Kent ranging from public conveniences up to town halls. They'd
recently had asbestos surveys carried out so that they could form their
asbestos registers. Shortly afterwards they carried out a significant program
of remedial works that made much of the information in their registers
out-of-date. To ensure that they complied with the Control of Asbestos at Work
Regulations they wanted to find a way of storing the original set of data,
updating it and then making it easily accessible to their staff and operatives.
MBC approached their asbestos management company with their problem and were
given a demonstration of ACM Manager. This new product allowed them to upload
their data from the AMS database and apply details of all of the remedial works
that they'd had carried out. The system automatically updated the status of
their ACMs and the risk assessments providing them with a new and up-to-date
set of asbestos registers.
MBC have created a small administration team that maintains the data and have
also introduced a number of read-only logins that are used by their
maintenance contractors to access asbestos registers before carrying out
works at their properties.
